"ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings and AHL Manchester Monarchs, defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers in the shootout, 5-4, Saturday evening in front of 7,870 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Ontario opened up scoring in the match 52 seconds after the first puck drop. Six seconds into a power play that came from a Wranglers' interference minor, right wing Geoff Walker received a pass from right wing Mike Howe and threw a shot into the top shelf. The power play goal gave the Reign an early 1-0 lead. Las Vegas tied the game at 5:40. Wranglers center Tyler Mosienko carried the puck through the neutral zone and over the blue line before passing it to left wing Dan Riedel.
